Hi I'm Gabriel! I work as a Tour Guide for both safari Guide and mountain Guide some people use to call me FRIEND FROM KILIMANJARO I absolutely love to travel and I have traveled to many places around Tanzania! ( Mountain kilimanjaro, mount Meru, Manyara national park, Tarangire national park, Ngorongoro protected area, Serengeti National park and many more )
VISA INFORMATION
For getting visa, there are two options, both are easy, both cost 50$ per person:
Visa on arrival, just apply at the airport (make sure you got 50$, but cards are accepted)
We recommend to apply for Visa in advance online. Saves time at the airport costs are exactly the same. Please ONLY use the official site of tanzanian immigration. There are some other providers, which do the same but for extra cash. Make sure, to choose the right type of visum, and then just follow the instructions on:
Payment Informations
The local currency in Tanzania and Zanzibar is Tanzanian Shilling. Dollar is accepted everywhere, Euros are often accepted. But the cheapest way to pay is allways in Shilling. And cheapest way to get them is at local ATMs. Our advise: Take some Dollar for Visa and the firsts costs, later draw money at ATM by Visa or Mastercard Most ATM machines take fees from 8000 to 12000 Shilling, the maximum amount per draw is 400000 Shilling (+/- 200 Dollar). Sometimes you can enter an higher amount by yourself, not at every ATM.
HEALTH ON THE WAY
Ask your Pharmacie, what to take on your journey, but things like diarrhea tablets, , good insect repellent, aspirin, ointment, also cortisone ointment should be in there. And take a standby product for malaria with you but clear that with your doctor, as well as useful vaccinations!! Really usefull is also to take a portable moskito net.
And please have a travel health insurance!

Few areas of the continent captivate the imagination as does Tanzania. Despite all this, Tanzania is remarkably unassuming and low-key, and thus far has remained enviably untouched by the tribal rivalries and political upheavals that plague many of its neighbors.while it’s ideal for exploring in combination with the other countries around Tanzania, it also has more than enough attractions to be a journey on its own.
The most popular areas - the Northern safari circuit around Arusha and the zanzibar Archipelago - have sealed main roads and an array of hotels and restaurants, and are easily incorporated into a large East African loop. Whith more time, and for more adventure, head south and west, where you’ll soon find yourself well of the beaten path, surrounded by a Tanzania that is far removed from western development and amenities.
Wherever you visit, the highlight inevitably winds up being Tanzanians themselves,with their characteristic warmth, politeness and dignity. Chances are that you’ll want to come back for more, to which most Tanzanians will say
